This pipe was a bit of a lark. I’d had a small piece of briar left over from another smallish pipe sitting around the shop for a couple of years and decided to see what I could get out of it. Likewise, the stem had been started before for another pipe and turned out to be a bit softer than usual and not not able to take a high polish - to say nothing of the fact that it was olive drab rather than a nice bright forest green cumberland. So, I’m going to be “forced” to smoke it myself.
The good news is that it turned into sort of a cool shape which is available for reproduction. If you like it, let me know and I can make another for you with just about any color stem you’d like other than this.
