M161-1

How does a new pipe shape come to be named? Who first called a Bulldog a “Bulldog” and why?  Since Kevin Costner smoked a pipe like this in “The Hatfields and the McCoys,” the shape has been called a “Devil Anse” after his nickname.  So here’s my take on the shape.  The stem is handcut acrylic tortoise shell.

Length:  5 Inches
Height:  1 3/4
Chamber:  13/16 (English profile)
Weight:  1.2 Ounces (28.3 grams per ounce).
