Bamboo shanks can be a pain but somehow I put up with them because I really like the look, particularly in a fairly delicate shape like the Cutty.  The stem is Ebonite with the tenon fitted into a one piece device of mine that serves as a trim piece on the end of the shank and also an Ebonite mortise for the tenon.  There is no contact between the tenon and the bamboo of the shank.  As always, the drilling is spot-on, bottom of the chamber and properly centered.

Length:  6 3/8 Inches
Height:  2 1/8
Chamber:  13/16
Weight:  1.4 Ounces
