Manuel Shaabi, born in 1950 was born and raised in Lebanon and learned pipemaking in his homeland. He migrated to Germany in 1979, selling pipes through Pipe Dan for several years. He makes only about 200 pipes per year and his pipes are in great demand, especially in Europe. Stems are handcut and the pipes are meticulously finished. This pipe is beautifully grained and perfect with the exception of a deep scorch on the inner rim which slightly diminishes the sharpness of that rim. I've graded this pipe down based solely on that scorching. Every other aspect of the pipe is perfect.
