This Group 4, Shape 656 Dunhill Root was made during the period
between the early 1950's and the early 1960's when Dunhill's briar was
at its finest and came from a single source.  It's the classic Dunhill
56 bent.  The 6 in the shape number denotes a saddle bit.  There's
some minor rim
darkening with no charring or rim deformation.  The nomenclature is
average.  The stem is original and free of toothmarks.  No tooth
marks.  This pipe accepts a 9 mm filter or can be smoked with no
filter or with an adapto.
