Elliott Nachwalter is a fabled American pipe maker. Over the years, he’s made pipes in Vermont, New York (as Pipeworks), Florida in Coral Springs and back to Vermont. The Briar Workshop pipes from the Stowe. Vt. shop were made in the late 1980’s are especially sought by Nachwalter fans and collectors.
This is a lovely piece of a combination of straight and flame grain. The stem is a new replacement by Dave Wolff of Walker Briar Works. There are a couple of knock-out marks on the rim and a small area of darkening. There are no other issues.
