Probably because of the enormous number of pipes produced annually in St. Claude, France, Butz Choquin doesn’t get the respect it deserves. This Group 4 sized author is beautifully grained and nicely made. There are a couple of tiny tooth pecks on the stem and a very small ding on the bowl - left-center. There are no other issues. Pipes on the $50 and Under page are cleaned externally and the stem is cleaned internally. The stummel airway and mortise cleaning is for you.
