E3781-1

This is the first of these that I’d ever seen - a Comoy’s White Bar stem logo.  I haven’t done the research to know if they just used it on the early Grand Slams or if it preceded the “C” logo generally. I’m reliably advised that this pipe is quite unusual in that “Comoy’s” is stamped on it rather than only Grand Slam.  It’s also an American patent rather than British.  The stamp “Made in England” in a circle on the right dates it to the late 1930’s The stem is original but with a replacement tenon.  The stinger is not present.  There are moderate tooth marks top and bottom.  Nomenclature is excellent all the way around.  Size is comparable to a Dunhill Group 5.  Light handling/pocket wear on the finish.

Length:  6 Inches
