For some reason, the French pipe makers don’t get the respect that they deserve. St. Claude was once the pipe making capital of the world, turning out thousands and thousands of pipes per year, many of them private labeled and sold as luxury brands.
The two Chacoms that I’ve put on the site are great examples of high quality pipes sold for a fraction of the price they’d demand as Dunhills or Charatans. This one is very attractive shape with an enormous capacity. (Depth of chamber is two inches). The exterior shows some very light scratches toward the top left of the bowl, though they’re not very apparent. Stem is Ebonite. No tooth marks or other issues.
