E4137-1

This is a very cool pipe.  Take a look at the photos below to get a full appreciation of the rustication, done to imitate the look of a cross-grain blast, strikingly more detailed and carefully done than later Sasieni rusticated pipes.  The nomenclature is excellent, complete with the fish tail Sasieni logo by which the pipe can be approximately dated.  On the bottom of the stem at the shank-stem joint is a patent number, I believe for the stinger (condensor) feature which is intact in the pipe but can be screwed out.  There is one issue with the pipe.  I got the pipe with a holed stem at the top and near the button.  Mike Myers of Walker Pipe Repair did an excellent repair to give a wonderful pipe a new life.  All that’s visible is a wave on the top of the stem.
